We recently had the privilege of participating in CatWalk4Cancer 2023. This wonderful event, organised by the Barwon Health Foundation, was in aid of the Andrew Love Cancer Centre in Geelong.
Our team created a stunning pearl bodice and ball gown bubble skirt exclusively for the occasion. This was a great opportunity to showcase our designs, and also to give back to the community.
The evening was a resounding success, raising an impressive $48,000 for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre. This significant amount of money will be used to improve the quality of care and support provided to cancer patients in Geelong and southwest Victoria.
CatWalk4Caner 2023, hosted by local business owners Demi Duncan and Melinda Baxter, attracted over 200 guests who were treated to a live fashion show featuring local designers. The event took place on the 2nd of September at the new Geelong Arts Centre, which provided an elegant backdrop for the evening’s festivities.
The Barwon Health Foundation expressed gratitude and pride in the success of this year’s event. Zoe Waters, the executive director of the foundation, described it as one of their best fundraising events to date. In a statement, Waters emphasised the significance of the fashion community’s contribution, stating that it was heartwarming to witness such generosity, especially in the current financial climate.
This event showcases the power of fashion to create a positive impact on the lives of others and we were honoured to be a part of it.
